  • We don't have a huge garden,   just a small area decked and with a few tables and chairs, but it is a wonderful area to relax on a sunny day
and take the sun naked, chill out and relax and best of all, it's not far from the loo, the cold drinks, your bedroom and home comforts.
  • The beach is wonderful for a day out and you can either walk to the local beach with its new  artificial surfing reef ( what a load of crap that thing is ) and long sandy beach going for miles and popular with families - or you can visit Studland  which is a 20 minute drive from Hamilton Hall - then  a short ferry ride over the harbour entrance ( costs £1 return )  and then a further 20 minute walk around the bay to the naturist area - and this is popular with gay men.  On a long hot sunny day this area of the beach can be packed with people of all types and the gay men tend to go up into the sand dunes and back towards the forest and cruise.  There are signs up indicating where the naturist area starts and stops and the National Trust act like right lying morons in how they deal with anyone who wanders outside this area and threatens legal action,  threatening to have you arrested and your name put on the sex offenders register,  telling you how many children come to this part of the beach - and all sorts - NONE OF WHICH IS ACCURATE OR TRUE,   and any children I have witnessed coming through this part of the beach seem perfectly okay with a few gay men wandering around naked,  it is the adults, the parents and the National Trust staff themselves who seem to have a heart attack at the very thought.  As usual,  ' We are protecting the children' is quoted but WHO EXACTLY PROTECTS THE CHILDREN FROM THEIR SMALL MINDED ATTITUDES.  Children are a lot more aware and savvy than some people give them credit for.
  • Regardless, Studland is a MUST on a sunny day and we drop you to the ferry at 10.30am and ask for a donation of £4 each way ( This is not an insured taxi ride, just a nice gesture in my people mover - If in doubt - take  a cab or a bus )  and I collect again at 5.00m.  This saves the hassles of trying to park your car this side of the ferry - which can be very hard in the summer - Queuing for an hour to take your car over the ferry to fight for a parking place the other side - or a £15 each way cab fare or an hour on the bus.
